Description
The 2024 vintage in the Wachau produced a small volume of exceptionally ripe wines with attractive fruit flavours, body and balanced acidity. From vines planted above and behind the village of Weißenkirchen, the wine shows lively aromas of orange zest, golden delicious apples and fresh herbs. The palate is juicy and ripe, with crisp acidity and a cool, mineral touch. This Federspiel is a lighter style of Grüner Veltliner, ideal as an apéritif or with lighter dishes, including those with a bit of spice.Catherine Owen, Wine & Spirits Advisor, Berry Bros. & Rudd (May 2026)
