Description
Altesse is the better-known grape variety of the Savoie than Gringet and is the majority of what is produced in the region. With vines planted by Dominique Belluard himself in the 1990s, the Aubeterre lieu dit lies on the other side of the road to La Paille and is an expression of Altesse at its best. It has a golden colour with concentrated aromas reminiscent of lemon muffins and custard Danish. The palate is richly textured with a smooth quality that makes it easy to sip. It has an apricot edge and a fine salinity running right through its core, keeping it refreshing, pure and very delicious. Catriona Felstead MW, Senior Buyer, Berry Bros. & Rudd
