Description
Made from a blend of 85% Blaufrankisch and 15% St Laurent, this is a light, fruity and energetic offering from pioneering winemaker Heidi Schröck. The fruit is sourced from the east facing, sandy slopes of Rust Hill in Bergenland. Named “Young Lions” in honour of her sons, this has a bright ruby hue, opening with a floral bouquet and hints of wild plum and redcurrant. The palate is vivid and supple, carrying subtle spice, earthy leather nuance and a gentle, mineral zip with super fine tannins and a light-on-its-feet finish. Berry Bros. & Rudd
